Commissioner of Oaths

The fee for documents such as affidavits, statutory declarations, vehicle transfers and pension forms that requires a Commissioner of Oaths is $22.60 for a signature only or $33.90 if staff prepare the document for you. Please contact the Township of Scugog Municipal Office at 905-985-7346 to arrange a mutually convenient time for signing your documents.

The person or persons swearing the affidavit must appear before the Commissioner with proper photo identification such as a driver's license, health card or passport.

Certification of Documents

When you are asked to submit documents to government, insurance companies or banking institutions, you may require "certified copies" of your papers such as a birth certificate or marriage certificate. If you need certified copies of any documents, contact the Clerk's Office at 905-985-7346 between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday to arrange a mutually convenient time for signing your documents.

The fee for this service is $20.00.
