COMMISSIONING AND CERTIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS
Commissioner of OathsThe fee for documents such as affidavits, statutory declarations, vehicle transfers and pension forms that requires a Commissioner of Oaths is $22.60 for a signature only or $33.90 if staff prepare the document for you. Please contact the Township of Scugog Municipal Office at 905-985-7346 to arrange a mutually convenient time for signing your documents.
The person or persons swearing the affidavit must appear before the Commissioner with proper photo identification such as a driver's license, health card or passport.
Certification of DocumentsWhen you are asked to submit documents to government, insurance companies or banking institutions, you may require "certified copies" of your papers such as a birth certificate or marriage certificate. If you need certified copies of any documents, contact the Clerk's Office at 905-985-7346 between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday to arrange a mutually convenient time for signing your documents.
The fee for this service is $20.00.
