MUNICIPAL PREPAREDNESS
All municipalities are regulated by the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, R.S.O., 1990 to develop and implement an emergency management program consisting of emergency plans, training programs and exercises and public education.
Since 2004, the Township of Scugog has successfully met and maintained compliance with these regulations.

Municipal Coordinator
The Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC) for the Township of Scugog is Fire Chief Richard Miller. It is his responsibility to oversee the development and maintenance of municipal emergency plans and other components of the municipal emergency program.The Township of Scugog has a Municipal Control Group (MCG) made up of members from senior management. The MCG meets on a quarterly basis throughout the year to address ongoing municipal emergency planning matters.
