The Township of Scugog Business Licensing By-Law Number 135-05 regulates the following businesses within the Township:

  • Adult Entertainment Parlours:
  • Fees: up to $1,255.00

  • Carnivals, Midways & Special Events:
  • Fees: up to $195.00
  • Council approval must be obtained 60 days prior to event.

  • Fireworks Display and Sale:
  • Fees: up to $215.00

  • Hawker & Peddler
  • Fees: $125.00 Resident 
             $200.00 Non-Resident

 

  • Refreshment Vehicle
  • Fees: up to $200.00

  • Salvage Yards & Second Hand Goods
  • Fees: up to $200.00

  • Taxicab Company & Drivers:
  • Fees: up to $255.00    

 

  • Clothing Donation Bin
  • Fee: $100.00

 

  • Group Home Type 1 and Type 2
  • Fees: up to $245.00

Failing to obtain a Licence or failing to comply with the provisions of the Licensing By-Law may result in charges being laid and fines of up to $5,000.00 and/or the revocation of licences.
