Welcome to the Parks Department for the Township of Scugog.

Misty Morning in a Scugog Park
The Township Parks Department offers over 43 park areas encompassing over 180 hectares of natural and open spaces. Throughout the Township you will find over 17 playground sites, over 18 sports fields, 3km of lakefront trails, 5 tennis courts, 4 beach volleyball courts, Unity Skateboard Park in Port Perry and a new skateboard park at the Blackstock Fair Grounds.

Department office hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Our dedicated personnel include 3 Parks Attendants, 1 Operation Manager and 1 Support Staff. Our staff is also complemented by students in the summer months.

Parks Hours of Operation

In accordance with By-Law 48-05, parks hours of operation within the Township of Scugog are:

April 1st to September 30th inclusive: 7AM-11PM
October 1st to March 31st inclusive: 7AM-10PM

Many of these parks feature stunning scenery and offer picnic tables, playgrounds and benches for your enjoyment. In addition, no camping or overnight parking is permitted in Township parks.
