The Fire Department helps to educate the public about fire safety and other matters in a variety of ways. In addition to the helpful information contained in our website, there are various pamphlets available free of charge which discuss a wide array of fire safety matters, including teaching fire safety to children, fire safety for seniors, seasonal fire safety guides, etc. These pamphlets may be obtained at the Fire Department during administrative hours or by sending an e-mail request below. Please be sure to specify the type of material you would like to receive.
The Fire Department is also happy to give presentations, for instance, in a classroom setting, at a retirement home, at a YMCA course, etc. These lectures/presentations may be held at the Fire Hall or at a location of your choice.
To arrange to have the Fire Department provide a presentation, please call Gord Gettins, Chief Fire Prevention Officer, at 905-985-2384 (Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or by e-mail below.
Please note: Sufficient notice must be provided in advance.
