SHELTER-IN-PLACE

In the event of a dangerous chemical, biological or radioactive release into the air, you will be instructed to shelter-in-place.

This means that you should stay inside your home or workplace and take the following actions:

• Close and lock all windows and exterior doors
• Close all window coverings
• Turn off vents, fans, HVAC
• Shut fireplace dampers
• Seal cracks around doors and vents with duct tape
• Take your emergency kit and radio and seek shelter in a small interior room with no or few windows until advised that the order to shelter-in-place has been lifted.
