To erect permanent signs you are required to comply with the Ontario Building Code and the regulations contained in the Sign By-law. To erect a temporary or permanent sign, businesses and residents must obtain approval and may require either temporary sign permits or building permits. The proposed design and placement of all signs will be reviewed to make sure they comply with the specific regulations.
A sign permit is required for:
- Commercial mobile signs;
- Special events banners; and,
- Signs associated with a temporary sales office within the draft plan of a subdivision or condominium.
