Burn Ban in Effect for Scugog April 11, 2023

Scugog – Please be advised that effective April 11, 2023, at 11:59pm, a Municipal-wide burn ban will be in effect. Residents will be notified when the ban is lifted.

There will be zero tolerance for burning during the burn ban. Under Part 4 Enforcement and Penalties of the Open-Air Burning By-law 32-18, those having a fire during the burn ban can be charged under the Provincial Offences Act and will also be responsible for the costs associated with Fire Service response.

Scugog Burn Ban to be Lifted April 30

Scugog – Effective April 30, 2022, the spring burn ban will be lifted. As a reminder, a permit is required for all burning and guidelines for burning must be followed.

To apply for a burn permit and review the guidelines, please visit scugog.ca/burnpermit.

Scugog – Effective May 1, 2021 the April burn ban will be lifted in the Township of Scugog.

As a reminder, a burn permit must be obtained prior to any burning.  All guidelines for burning must be followed.

Scugog – Please be advised that effective April 1, 2021, a Municipal-wide burn ban will be in effect for the entire month of April. Residents will be notified when the ban is lifted.

Effective August 11, 2020, the burn ban has been lifted in the Township of Scugog.
