The Provincial Day of Action on Litter is officially recognized in the province on the second Tuesday of May each year.
In light of the Stay-at-Home order and the province’s ongoing efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, this year the Day of Action on Litter will focus on raising awareness of the impacts of waste in the environment, and what actions every Ontarian can do to prevent, reduce and divert waste, right at home.

The Township of Scugog is planning to offer summer camps, aquatic and recreation programs this summer.
Programs can be viewed online starting Monday, May 10. Registration for Scugog residents opens on Monday, May 17 at 7 a.m. Registration for Durham Region residents opens Monday, May 24 at 7 a.m. Pre-registration is required for all activities.
All camp, aquatic and recreation programs are subject to change based on local and provincial health directives. If changes occur, participants will be contacted.

The Township of Scugog has contracted Dufferin Construction to rehabilitate Coryell Street between Regional Road 6 and River Street, Devitts Road between Regional Road 57 and Cartwright East ¼ Line and McLaughlin Road between Highway 7A and Edgerton Road.
