Cancellations Blackstock Truck & Tractor Pull and Port Perry Fair
We have recived notification from the organizers that sadly two popular long-standing community events have been cancelled for this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On April 21, 2020 the Blackstock Agricultural Society announced the cancellation of their annual Blackstock Truck and Tractor Pull scheduled for July 3 & 4, 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.

A report regarding the sale of fireworks in Scugog was brought forward on Monday, May 4, 2020. Fire Chief Mark Berney outlined that the sale of fireworks from non-essential businesses like trailers is prohibited. “Fireworks may be sold locally by essential business locations, however, we will not be authorizing permits for the typical trailer or road side establishment here in Scugog.” He added, “Those trailers are not deemed an essential business by the province and therefore, will not be issued...
