Scugog Burn Ban to be Lifted April 30

Scugog – Effective April 30, 2022, the spring burn ban will be lifted. As a reminder, a permit is required for all burning and guidelines for burning must be followed.

To apply for a burn permit and review the guidelines, please visit scugog.ca/burnpermit.

Quick Facts:

  • 2022 General and/or recreational burn permits cost $38.  Oversize burn permits cost $132. Burn permits are valid for the calendar year in which they are issued.

Burn Ban in Effect for Scugog April 9

Scugog – Please be advised that effective Saturday, April 9th at 12:01 a.m. Scugog Fire is implementing a Township-wide burn ban. No general or recreational burning is permitted during a burn ban. Some Agricultural burning will be permitted during this time, with special conditions in effect. The ban will remain in place until further notice.
