To protect the health and safety of our children and staff, and to respond to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Township of Scugog has made the difficult decision to suspend traditional summer camps and programs. Staff will work on creating modified camp options to serve the community this summer in the event the province permits some form of modified camps to proceed.

On Tuesday, May 19 as part of the phase one reopening, the province amended the Emergency Order to permit the reopening of some outdoor recreational amenities. In Scugog, outdoor recreational amenities that will reopen include the off-leash dog park, benches and picnic shelters located in parks or recreation areas, the pier, skate parks and the disc golf course. POLLINATOR POWER - families helping the environment

The Scugog Environmental Advisory Committee (SEAC) is giving away free pollinator seed packets to Scugog families who would like to plant a small plot of wildflowers to help insects on their property. If the property is a rental please confirm with your landlord that the planting may take place.  A flowerbed space of approximately 1 metre by 1 metre would need to be provided for the planting of the seeds.

Durham Region Road Reconstruction - Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) & Reach Street (Regional Road 8), Township of Scugog

The Regional Municipality of Durham will continue reconstructing Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) from Beech Street to Riverview Drive, and Reach Street (Regional Road 8) from Bigelow Street to Simcoe Street. Remaining work includes traffic signals, restoration and deficiency rectification.
