King Street Pavement Preservation

The Township of Scugog has contracted Superior Road Products to apply preservation seal to King Street between Regional Road 2 (Simcoe Street) and Hwy 7A. This work will begin Monday August 30, 2021. 
This in-depth preservative seal will enhance the performance of your asphalt street thereby lowering lifecycle service costs.

Jobb Road BridgeThe Township of Scugog has had to close the bridge on Jobb Road, approximately 900 metres east of Regional Road 57, for safety reasons due to the deteriorated condition of the bridge.  Staff are working on a design for the replacement of the bridge and the construction of the new bridge is currently in the forecast for 2023.  This timing will be reviewed again during the preparation of the Township’s 2022 Capital Budget.  During the closure, through traffic...

The Township of Scugog has contracted Dufferin Construction to rehabilitate Coryell Street between Regional Road 6 and River Street, Devitts Road between Regional Road 57 and Cartwright East ¼ Line and McLaughlin Road between Highway 7A and Edgerton Road. All of these projects will be beginning in May and expected to be completed by the beginning of July, weather permitting. A final application of Slurry Seal will be completed in September.
