Bylaw Zoning BoatsThe closure of our public boat launches has placed some additional stress on Scugog boaters in the form of storage and insurance concerns. To assist our boating community in resolving some of these concerns, the Township, under Section 4.2 of our Zoning By-Law 14-14, is temporarily suspending the zoning restrictions relating to storage of boats on residential driveways. The suspension will remain in force for the duration of the Covid-19 Emergency and will apply to boats...

2021epwk-scl1-enScugog – Emergency Preparedness Week takes place across Canada each year to better prepare people to protect themselves and their families during emergencies.
This year, the campaign runs from May 2 to May 8 and the theme is Emergency Preparedness: Be Ready for Anything. The intent of this theme is to encourage Canadians to take action to become better prepared for the range of emergencies they could face in their region.

Lifted NewsScugog – Effective May 1, 2021 the April burn ban will be lifted in the Township of Scugog.
As a reminder, a burn permit must be obtained prior to any burning.  All guidelines for burning must be followed.

Please be advised that Film, Road Occupancy and Parking Lot Permits have been approved for an overnight film for the Amazon series Reacher. Film activity is planned for Perry St. between North St. and Queen St. There will be some parking spaces reserved along North and Perry. The bulk of crew and truck parking will be in Lot 8 - Boat Launch. Please note, the flags at the municipal office will be removed Friday evening and will be returned on Saturday.
