The Township of Scugog is a vibrant community with many exciting and inclusive events taking place throughout the year!

The Township of Scugog hosts several annual events during the year, more information is below:

 Canoe the Nonquon
 Canoe the Nonquon is an annual canoe race through the Nonquon River and Lake Scugog. This event is organized by Scugog Shores Museum and is held on the first weekend of June. Canoe the Nonquon has been occurring annually for more than 50 years!
 Dog Days of Scugog
 Dog Days of Scugog is a long-weekend event held in July at Scugog Shores Museum Village. This event provides a fun, family friendly two-days of everything you and your canine companion could want. Enter a contest, participate in an agility course, talk to breeders and animal rescue agencies, or buy one of hundreds of amazing products from our vendors.
 Canada Day

 Movie Night at the Museum
 The Township of Scugog hosts 3 Movie Night under the stars at Palmer Park and the Scugog Shores Museum during the summer months. Follow @twpofscugog for updates. 
 Pitch-In Week
Pitch-In Week is celebrated in the third week of April within the Township of Scugog.  For more information check out the Pitch-In webpage. 
 Compost Give-A-Way Event

 The Township of Scugog and the Region of Durham are hosting the annual Compost Giveaway Event at the Boat Launch Parking Lot on Old Rail Line. 

Come get your free compost and make your garden happy.  Four (4) container limit per vehicle.  Bring a shovel and containers. Masks required.

Green bins, blue boxes and backyard composters will be available for sale.  Damaged blue boxes and green bins can also be exchanged at this event.
