Property owners in the downtown Port Perry Heritage Conservation District (HCD) must apply for a Heritage Permit to make any changes to the exterior of their buildings. Heritage Permits and Heritage Sign Permits ensure buildings in the HCD maintain their historical and cultural significance.

You are encouraged to arrange a pre-consultation meeting with the Building department to confirm that your plans require a Heritage Permit and to also determine if you require any additional permits, such as a Building Permit.
