The Township of Scugog has two Heritage Plaque Programs to promote heritage buildings and sites. These programs are a great way for the community and visitors to appreciate our history and cultural heritage.

Heritage plaques for residents

The Heritage Plaque Program was created to partner with citizens of the Township of Scugog and to share in their pride of ownership of a historic home or commercial building. If you are the proud owner of a historic home or commercial building in the Township of Scugog please consider applying for your Heritage Scugog Plaque today.

Contact the Heritage Committee Coordinator for more information on how to apply for a Heritage Plaque for your property. 905-985-7346 ext. 115

Heritage plaques for downtown

The Heritage Conservation District Plaque Program promotes cultural heritage in Scugog's downtown core. The Heritage and Museum Advisory Committee is pleased to have promoted Port Perry's cultural heritage within the downtown core by introducing a new Heritage Plaque Program to inform visitors and locals about the history of the commercial buildings of Queen Street.
