The Council of the Township of Scugog has received a Zoning By-law Amendment Application to Zoning By-Law 14-14, to amend the zoning on the lands shown on the attached key map.
Purpose and Effect of The Proposed Application
On July 11, 2022, the Region of Durham granted provisional consent to Land Division application LD 065/2022, approving the proposed conveyance of 345m2 from 179 Union Avenue to the vacant Benefitting Lands beside it (being Blocks 78 & 79, Plan 40M-2011) for a total proposed lot area of 525m2. Blocks 78 & 79, Plan 40M-2011 and the severed lands are proposed to be merged together to form 1 lot on which a house can be constructed. The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the severed lands at 179 Union Avenue from Urban Multiple Residential Type One (RM1) to Urban Multiple Residential Type Three (RM3) to be consistent with the zoning on Blocks 78 and 79 that are currently zoned RM3.
