On May 20, 2021, the Province of Ontario announced that as of May 22, 2021 outdoor recreational amenities will be permitted to reopen.  As well, outdoor limits for social gatherings and organized public events will be expanded to allow amenities to be used by up to five people if not from the same household. The Stay at Home order remains in effect until at least June 2, 2021. 

Recreational areas will be open for use for leisure and exercise. We ask that residents please continue to follow the health guidelines. When using these areas, masks are recommended especially when passing by others and please maintain a social distance of 2 metres or 6 feet when not from the same household. Portable toilets will be made available along the waterfront.  Recreation amenities that will open include, but are not limited to the following areas:

-        Parks and Trails

-        Playgrounds

-        Off leash dog park

-        Skate Parks

-        Green Space and Soccer Fields

-        Basketball and Tennis Courts

-        Disc Golf Course

-        Outdoor Fitness equipment

-        Boat Launch

-        Fishing areas
