scugog to pause recreation programs until the new yearTo protect the health and safety of the community, and to mitigate the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Township of Scugog has made the decision to pause recreation programming until the new year. Municipal run camp programs that were scheduled to run over the holidays were cancelled, however, there are other programs to be considered to protect the public and municipal users. Effective Friday, December 24, Scugog will pause select programming and will delay the start of winter recreation programs until Saturday, January 29, 2022.

Recreation Programs include:

  • Drop-in shinny and scrimmage programs
  • Drop-in pickleball programs
  • Registered recreation programs starting in January

Township run ice programs that provide a safe space to physically distance (e.g., public skate, stick n’ puck, adult skate and parent and tot) will still be running. Please visit scugog.ca/recreation to view the updated skating schedule.

The Township of Scugog continues to monitor this evolving situation, updates will be communicated to residents via public notices, through scugog.ca/COVID19, on Twitter @TwpOfScugog, and on Facebook @TownshipOfScugog.
