By-Law Complaint

Personal information included with by-law complaints is protected by to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protections of Privacy Act.

File a complaint

The By-law Enforcement Office looks into complaints they receive and confirms they are valid. Once a by-law violation is confirmed, the By-law Enforcement Office will strive to obtain voluntary compliance with our by-laws through public education, and mediation. If this does not work, the next step includes a Notice, an Order Requiring Compliance or legal charges.

Written complaints must be forwarded to the municipality; while the municipality will offer assistance and direction with respect to a By-law concern over the phone; staff will not initiate an investigation without first receiving the complaint in writing.

If you wish to file a formal complaint please click on the Report Online button. report online button
