Program on Hold

The Tree and Bench Donation program is temporarily on hold while we update the program and policy. We hope to begin accepting new applications in winter 2023.

How it works

Residents can support our community by giving a "gift that grows" through the Township of Scugog's tree planting program. Your donation covers the cost of:

• Purchasing a tree
• Planting a tree
• Maintaining a tree, such as fertilizing and pruning

The Gift that Grows program is a great way to get involved in the community. Started in the 1980s, the program now offers residents the option of donating a park bench.

Memorial Gift

The Gift the Grows program is also a nice memorial gift to:

• Honour a family member
• Celebrate a new member to your family
• Celebrate an anniversary
• Honour your club, organizations, business or graduating class
• Honour the memory of a departed loved one
