Scugog in-person services at municipal office resumes along with increased capacities at recreation facilities
Scugog – Effective Monday, October 18, the Township of Scugog Municipal Office, located at 181 Perry Street, will re-open to in person services. As our Municipal office re-opens to in person services, new procedures will be in place.

The Perryview stormwater management facility located on the west side of Simcoe St between Earl Cuddie Blvd and Greenway Blvd (see map enclosed) is being cleaned out and redesigned to bring the current pond up to today's standards and accommodate some new subdivisions in the area (Ribcor, Chieftan and Delpark Homes). These works are being done in accordance with an Agreement executed with the Township of Scugog and the requirements of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.

Scugog – Scugog Fire & Emergency Services is pleased to announce that grade 5 student Bryson Brown of SA Cawker Public School is this year’s Junior Fire Chief. Bryson’s contest poster illustrated his knowledge and understanding of the sounds of fire safety and included fire safety tips such as:
- A continuous set of three loud beeps—beep, beep, beep— coming from your smoke alarm means smoke or fire. Get out, call 9-1-1, and stay out.
- A single chirp coming from your smoke alarm every 30 or 60 seconds...

Scugog Fire Encouraging Residents to Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety
Scugog – Scugog Fire and Emergency Services has teamed up with the National Fire Protection Association to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety.” This year’s campaign takes place from October 3-9 and works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.
