2026 Scugog Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

You are invited to witness local history at the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where Scugog’s outstanding athletes, teams, and sports builders will be formally inducted! This ceremony celebrates and preserves the Township’s rich sporting heritage while recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to sport in Scugog. This evening will also include recognition of exceptional young athletes and dedicated volunteers.

This year’s inductees into the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame include:

• Builder: S.A. Cawker Coaches - Paul Koot, Phil Ovsenek, and Hanna Ovsenek
• Individual: Mike Blakey – Rugby
• Teams: 1980-81 Pee Wee Tier II “C” George Stone Realty
  1981-82 Pee Wee Tier II “B” George Stone Realty

This FREE community celebration event will take place at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre, 1655 Reach Street, on Thursday, April 23, beginning at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). No registration is required – community members are encouraged to attend and show their support for these local athletes and contributors!
