April 8 Program Changes

In anticipation of the solar eclipse taking place Monday, April 8, the Township of Scugog has made adjustments to our programming for the safety of all participants.

All scheduled programs, including P.A. Day drop-in programming, will be continuing in a condensed format. Rather than running throughout the entire day, drop-in programming, camps, and pre-registered programming will run from 8:00am to 1:00pm, with timeslots varying based on the program. For camps, AM Care will continue as usual, however, PM Care will not be offered.

Be sure to check our Drop-In Program Schedule to view what programs are running when. Please note, Pickleball will not be running during the week of April 8.

Durham Region has released some information on the 2024 Solar Eclipse, including how to stay safe during a solar eclipse, a list of suppliers for solar eclipse viewers/filters, as well as a link to NASA’s eclipse stream for safe viewing.

A full list of recreation programs can be found in our Leisure & Activity Guide.
