General Purpose and Administration Committee Meeting – April 13
- Presentation from John Henry, Region of Durham Chair, regarding an annual Region of Durham update for Council. Chair Henry highlighted upcoming legislative changes to the Regional Chair position, and Regional investment in Scugog.
- Presentation from Katlyn Bertin, Region of Durham Project Manager, regarding the Region’s road urbanization, transportation design, and multi-use path project for Reach Street.
- Presentation from Stacey Jibb and Jessica Rhynas of Invest Durham regarding the Growing North Durham Plan 2025 Annual Activity Report.
- Presentation from Troy Cheseboro, Region of Durham Paramedic Services Chief, regarding a new Tiered Response Agreement between the Region’s Paramedic Services and the Township to recognize additional medical response by Fire and Emergency Services.
- 2026 Final Tax Levy report was received.
- Scugog Float Flyers Memorandum of Understanding Renewal 2026 report was approved.
- Memorandum of Understanding with the Blackstock Arena Planning and Development Committee report was approved.
- Rural Cycling Tourism Wayfinding and Signage Project Memorandum of Understanding report was approved.
- Correspondence from Docs For Durham regarding the 2025 Annual Report.
- Correspondence from Durham District School Board regarding a letter to the Premier and Education Minister for the Governance Model consultation process.
Planning and Community Affairs Committee Meeting – April 20
- Public Meeting presentation from Big Brothers Big Sisters North Durham regarding a Zoning By-Law Amendment for Temporary Use By-Law (Z-2025-02) for 1401 Scugog Line 6, Port Perry. Approval of this Temporary Use secures the existing site to host Winding Roads for the next three years.
- Presentation from D.G. Biddle regarding a draft plan of subdivision and Zoning By-Law Amendment (S-S-2021-01 & Z-2021-01) for 1370 King Street, Manchester.
- Presentation from Tatra Valley Homes regarding a Zoning By-Law Amendment (Z/01/2026) for 5 Crestview Avenue, Blackstock.
- 2025 Development Activity report was received.
Council Meeting – April 27
- Presentation from Port Perry Business Improvement Association (BIA) regarding their 2026 budget.
- Use of corporate resources, Lame Duck considerations, and voting opportunities for the 2026 Municipal Election report was received.
- Aerodome request consultation summary for 715 Blue Mountain Road was received.
- Modular bridge replacement and associated works on Scugog Line 2 report was approved by Council, allowing staff to move forward with an innovative, effective, and cost-efficient solution to replace the aging Line 2 concrete box culvert with a new prefab modular bridge system.
- Local roads resurfacing 2026 contract award report was approved, which will result in approximately 3km of local roads in the Port Perry urban area to be resurfaced in 2026.
