Council Meeting – September 14, 2026

  • Delegation from Oak Ridges Hospice requesting support of Hockey Night in Port Perry
    • Council approved the waiving of ice and facility rental fees for the event.
  • Presentation to honour Emma Breeze, resident of Port Perry, for her achievements at the Ontario Closed Highland Dance Championships and Junior World Highland Dance Championships
  • Correspondence from Director of Finance/Treasurer regarding permanently doubling of the annual OCIF Grant Funding
    • Council voted in support of doubling the funding.
  • Presentation from SmartCentres and MHBC Planning regarding Zoning By-law Amendment at 1535 Highway 7A: received for information
  • Presentation from Manorville Homes regarding Zoning By-law Amendment at 15682 Simcoe Street North: received for information
  • Presentation and report for the distribution of the proceeds from the 2025 Annual Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament
  • Presentation from Director of Corporate Services/Clerk regarding the IT Strategic Plan Update
    • Noted in the presentation, the Township of Scugog has implemented a new Beta GeoHub portal. This portal is now available to the public, with various map viewers detailing things like Scugog Ward boundaries, Election voting locations, parks, trails, cemeteries, and heritage buildings. In addition, courtesy of the Lake Scugog Historical Society, information on the Heritage Conservation District is available, showcasing the rich history of Scugog.
    • As we continue through the implementation process, more functions will be made available for things like ongoing Capital Projects in the community, a development application tracker, strategic plan dashboard, and storyboards for various topics!
