Township of Scugog Recognizes Emergency Preparedness Week 2023

Scugog - Emergency Preparedness Week takes place across Canada annually to encourage Canadians to take concrete actions to be better prepared to protect themselves and their families during emergencies.

This year, the campaign runs from May 7 to May 13, and the theme is Be Prepared, Know the Risks. The intent of this theme is to encourage Canadians to know that different risks may require different preparation and to have a plan for each situation.

Scugog reminds residents to ensure everyone in your household knows where to find your emergency kits and where to go if you must leave your home. In addition, it is important to stock an emergency kit complete with basic supplies to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours.
