Funds raised from 2025 Fore Scugog Youth Golf Tournament awarded to youth community groups
Scugog – The Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament is hosted annually by the Township of Scugog raising funds for Scugog Youth Initiatives. During yesterday’s Council Meeting, four Scugog youth groups were awarded funds from the 2025 Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament, in addition to our annual contribution to the Port Perry High School Bursary Program.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham received funding to support volunteer recruitment for school-based mentorship programming.
- Port Perry 41 Cadet Corp. Support Committee received funds to expand and enhance educational off-site events, purchase new equipment and apparel, and assist with maintaining zero-cost accessibility to keep the program free for all youth.
- Blackstock Minor Hockey received funds to provide an additional ice time each week throughout the season and assist in training coaches and volunteers.
- Scugog Arts received funding to support the purchase of craft and fine art supplies for youth programming and pay artists and educators during Culture Days.
The 25th Annual Fore Scugog Golf Tournament took place Thursday, September 10, at Sunnybrae Golf Club. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will go towards the 2027 Youth Initiative Grant.
