Notice of Passing Designation By-Law for 14954 Old Simcoe Road

Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Scugog passed By-law 39-25 on the 22nd day of September, 2025, under Section 29, Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18.
By-law 39-25 designates the property municipally known as 14954 Old Simcoe Road, containing the William Malcolm and Gertrude Spurr Cutts House, specifically: PT LT 93 PL H50021 AS IN D548298; SCUGOG
as being of cultural heritage value or interest pursuant to the provisions of Section 29, Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act.

The full particulars for the subject property, including heritage attributes to be protected, are available for inspection in the Township of Scugog Municipal Offices, 181 Perry Street, Port Perry, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  If you would like to obtain further details, please contact Meaghan Craven, Director of Development Services, at  905-985-7346 ext. 153 or by email at mcraven@scogog.ca.

Any person may, on or before the 25th day of October, 2025, send notice of appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal and the Township Clerk by setting out their objection to By-law 39-25, together with a statement of their reasons in support of their objection and the associated fee charged by the Ontario Land Tribunal.  Notice of appeal must be received by registered mail or delivered to the Clerk of the Township of Scugog.
