Nominations for the Municipal Election Close Friday at 2:00 p.m.

Every four years, there is a Municipal Election in the Township of Scugog to elect a Mayor and members of Council, as well as school board trustees. The 2026 Municipal Election will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026. 

This coming Friday, August 21, 2026, is the last day for anyone interested in serving on Council to submit their nominations. Nominations will be accepted by the Clerk for Mayor, Regional Councillor, Ward Councillors and School Board Trustees up until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Nominations are required to be submitted on the prescribed forms (available on the Township’s website or at the Clerk’s office) and shall be filed IN PERSON or by an AGENT at the Clerk’s office, Township of Scugog Municipal Administration Building, 181 Perry Street, Port Perry, Ontario, L9L 1A7, during normal office hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
