Notice of Candidate Nominations - 2026 Municipal Election
NOTICE is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Township of Scugog.
Nominations in the Township of Scugog for the Election, which will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, will be accepted for the following list of elected offices by completing the prescribed forms in the Office of the Clerk*:

Nomination Procedures
Nominations must be submitted on the prescribed forms and filed in person by the candidate or by an agent at the Clerk’s Office*, Township of Scugog Municipal Administration Building, 181 Perry Street, Port Perry, Ontario. Filing hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. commencing May 1, 2026.
*Note, nomination locations for School Board positions vary. Please reference above table to view addresses for those positions.The last date to file a nomination form is Friday, August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day), between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Appointments can be arranged by emailing election@scugog.ca. A Nomination Paper (Form 1 - Nomination Paper and Form 2 – Endorsement of Nomination) and the prescribed fee ($200 for Mayor, $100 for all other positions) payable by cash, certified cheque, money order or debit only. No candidate may accept contributions or incur expenses until nomination papers are filed.
