Save the date! Your Voice, Your Fairgrounds: next round of community engagement

Three interactive community workshops to be hosted on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Township of Scugog Municipal Office, 181 Perry Street, Port Perry

Scugog – The Township of Scugog invites local residents to participate in one of three community workshops in the next phase of the Your Voice, Your Fairgrounds Community Visioning exercise. These workshops mark an important milestone in the project, where the project team will introduce preliminary conceptual options for the future of the Port Perry Fairgrounds site. These options build on what we’ve heard from residents and stakeholders to date and are intended to explore how the site can continue to serve the community over time.  

Each session includes a short welcome presentation, followed by opportunities to explore the concepts, speak directly with the project team, and participate in an interactive mapping activity.

The purpose is to hear directly from the community. Residents will have the opportunity to share: 

• What they like
• Any concerns or gaps they see
• Ideas for improvement or new possibilities 

These early concepts are not final plans — they are visual tools to help guide more focused conversations about the future of the Fairgrounds, using shared information and examples to support a more detailed discussion. 

When: Wednesday, May 13

Where: Township Municipal Office (181 Perry St, Port Perry, Second Floor) 

Participants are asked to register in advance for one of the following session times: 

• Session 1: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Session 2: 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Session 3: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
