Scugog Shores Museum Village unveils new accessibility features for a more inclusive visitor experience
Scugog - Visitors to Scugog Shores Museum Village can now enjoy improved accessibility throughout the site thanks to a series of enhancements funded through the Government of Ontario's Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone (EASE) grant program.
The project was made possible through $30,000 in provincial funding secured by Township staff, along with generous community contributions from 100 Men of Scugog ($6,200) and the Lake Scugog Historical Society ($4,000). The Township extends its sincere appreciation to both organizations for supporting this important initiative.
Completed ahead of the peak summer season, the project includes a network of accessible pathways connecting the Museum's front entrance to its heritage buildings, creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for visitors of all abilities. New accessibility ramps are now available at the Log Cabin, Rodman Cabin, Lee House and the Head Church.
