Update for Special Council Presentation:

On Monday December 4, 2023, a presentation was provided to Council regarding a Proposal from Avenu Properties Corporation. The proposal was to request Council to contemplate the use of a community infrastructure housing accelerator under Section 34.1 of the Planning Act to advance the proposed development of the lands located east of Simcoe Street, south of Castle Harbour Drive.

Notice of Special Council Meeting to be held Monday, December 4, 2023, following the regularly scheduled General Purpose and Administration Meeting.

Please take notice that the Corporation of the Township of Scugog will hold a Special Council meeting on Monday, December 4^th, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., following the regularly schedule General Purpose and Administration Committee Meeting. The Special Council meeting is pursuant to Section 240 of the Municipal Act, 2001. The meeting will take place in Council Chambers located at 181 Perry Street, Port Perry.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider a proposal from Avenu Properties Corporation requesting Council to contemplate the use of a community infrastructure housing accelerator under Section 34.1 of the Planning Act to advance the proposed development of the lands located east of Simcoe Street, south of Castle Harbour Drive.
