Filming Updates - October 2025

Scugog – Please be advised of the following two film projects taking place in Scugog the week of October 20:

Witness Protection Pilot Television Productions

Filming interior and/or exterior scenes at the following locations:

• The Currie Grain Elevator (Old Mill), 139 Queen Street: Monday, October 20, to Wednesday, October 22, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Water Street between Queen Street and North Street with a one-lane closure: Monday, October 20, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• *Boat Launch, 5 Old Rail Lane: Tuesday, October 21, 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
• Queen Street and Water Street intersection: Wednesday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

*please note, Port Perry Boat Launch access will be limited during filming times. We recommend using the Caesarea Boat Launch if required.

Production vehicles and various pieces of film equipment will be located:

• Water Street East between Queen Street and North Street
• Portion of Parking Lot 8 (Boat Launch Lot, October 20)
• Portion of Parking Lot 5 (Water Street Lot, October 20 to 22)
• Grain Elevator (Old Mill) Parking Lot

During filming, the following activities may take place:

• Picture vehicles parked in street parking closest to Queen and Water Street intersection (6 spots total).
• Intermittent Traffic Control – Water Street between North Street and Mary Street, and Queen Street between Water Street and Perry Street.
• Lane closure – roundabout at Water Street, North Street, and Old Rail Lane (morning of October 20).
• Travel shots with tow rig and car/city bus – various streets in downtown area.

All filming and related activities are undertaken under the authority and approval of the Township of Scugog Film Office. ANY INTERMITTENT TRAFFIC STOPPAGES/CONTROL will be conducted under the safe supervision of the Durham Regional Police or Certified Book 7 Flagman.

NE Way Home Productions

Filming exterior scenes at the Currie Grain Elevator (Old Mill), 139 Queen Street:

• Prep: Thursday, October 23, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Friday, October 24, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Filming: Friday, October 24, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. OVERNIGHT
• Wrap: Saturday, October 25, 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; Monday, October 27, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Production vehicles and various pieces of film equipment will be located at:

• Portion of Parking Lot 5
• Latcham Centre Parking Lot
• Port Perry Fairgrounds
• Street Layby Parking on Water Street, north of Queen Street (only when required)

The above areas will be reserved with cones October 23 at 7:00 a.m., with vehicles arriving October 23 around 9:00 p.m. and departing October 25 by 12:00 p.m.

During filming, the following activities may take place:

• Late night filming – exterior late-night filming at 139 Queen Street
• Picture vehicles parked in street parking closest to Queen Street and Water Street intersection (6 spots total)
• Intermittent Traffic Control – Water Street between North and Mary Street, and intersection of Queen and Water Street
• Lift position on south-west side of Water Street.

All filming and related activities are undertaken under the authority and approval of the Township of Scugog Film Office. ANY INTERMITTENT TRAFFIC STOPPAGES/CONTROL will be conducted under the safe supervision of the Durham Regional Police or Certified Book 7 Flagman.
