Heat Warning in Effect - July 5 and 6

Please be advised a heat warning is in effect July 5 and 6. Daytime highs are expected to reach 31 to 33 degrees, with humidex values of 40 degrees and overnight lows of 21 to 25 degrees. During this time, it is important to monitor yourself and others and watch for signs of heat illness.

These high temperatures and humidity can also affect air quality. Please keep this in mind when outside and utilize the various cooling stations within the town:

  • Scugog Memorial Public Library: Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • This facility has a bottle-fill station.
  • Birdseye Pool: Visit our Swimming page to view a full schedule.
    • Operating hours have been extended to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6.
  • Splash Pad: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
