Notice of Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, July 9, 2025

Please take notice that the Corporation of the Township of Scugog will hold a Special Council meeting on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. pursuant to Section 240 of the Municipal Act, 2001. The meeting will take place in Council Chambers located at 181 Perry Street, Port Perry, with a portion of the meeting being held in closed session. The closed session portion will not be open to the public.

The following matters will be considered at this meeting, including a staff report for each matter:

•    Port Perry Fairgrounds Lease Renewal (closed session)
•    RFP Approval for Development Application Process Review
•    Municipal Ice Storm Assistance – Council Authorization
•    Blackstock Arena Refrigeration Plant Replacement Update

The closed portion of the meeting will be handled in closed session pursuant to Section 239(2)(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board; and (k) a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board. 2001, c. 25, s. 239 (2); 2017, c. 10, Sched. 1, s. 26., of the Municipal Act, 2001.

The agenda will be published and available for the public to view as of Monday, July 7, 2025.

Any public wishing to delegate to a matter on the agenda will have the opportunity to submit delegation requests, pending they have not delegated on the same matter in the past six (6) months. Received delegation requests will be included in an addendum to be issued on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Requests must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, for inclusion on the addendum.
