Public Information Centre for 2026 Queen Street and Perry Street Construction Project

Scugog – Please be advised a Public Information Centre (PIC) for an upcoming road rehabilitation project on Queen Street and Perry Street will be held Tuesday, October 28, between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Scugog Memorial Public Library, located at 231 Water Street, Port Perry.

This construction project was initiated by the Township of Scugog with engineering services provided by Planmac Engineering Inc. The scope of the project includes:

Project area:

• Queen Street from Simcoe Street to Water Street
• Perry Street from Queen Street to Mary Street

Proposed work:

• Repairs to the storm sewer infrastructure
• Replacement of the road surfaces
• Repairs to concrete sidewalks and curbs
• New curb extension bump-out near the post office building
• Extension of the curb and sidewalk on the west side of Perry Street

Construction timeline:

• Mid-Summer to Fall 2026 (exact start date to be determined)

The PIC will be an informal open house that is open to all interested in attending. This is part of our consultation process with residents, committees, the BIA, and the Chamber of Commerce. This event will provide attendees with information about the construction project. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the members of the project team, ask questions, and provide comments. Anyone with interest is invited to attend and participate.
