Public Works Week 2025 – People, Purpose, Presence

Scugog – From May 18 to 24, 2025, the Township of Scugog is recognizing National Public Works Week. This year’s theme is "People, Purpose, Presence,” highlighting three cornerstone ideals that motivate public works professionals to serve in their community every day.

Township of Scugog Public Works staff build and maintain infrastructure across the Township to ensure they remain safe and available for use. Our small and dedicated team are responsible for winter operations, road maintenance, permits, capital projects, fleet management, assistance with community events, tree maintenance, stormwater management, traffic engineering, and the crossing guard program. Township of Scugog Parks staff maintain our gardens, parks, trails, open spaces and baseball diamonds, assist with community events, winter operations, litter pickup, and tree maintenance.

We want to acknowledge and thank all members of the Public Works and Parks teams who go above and beyond to provide the community with frontline services that safeguard and enhance the quality of life in the Township of Scugog.
