The Township of Scugog recreation staff partners with Ashlea Jones Athletes in Training to offer a variety of group fitness programs.

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is played on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net, a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. In partnership with the North Durham Pickleball Club, the Community Services staff offers a drop-in program from September to May each year at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre.

View the list of cancellation dates below and click "Subscribe to page updates" at the bottom of this page to be notified when a change occurs.

The walking program will resume at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre as of September 12, 2022.  

The walking program at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre runs Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participants can enjoy indoor exercise by walking around ice pad two. There is no cost to this program. 

The walking program is not offered on any statutory holidays. For any inquiries about the walking program please contact recreation@scugog.ca. 

The Port Perry Seniors Club is a vibrant, volunteer driven, multicultural, and social learning centre for anyone 50+. They offer a wide variety of programs and services to those in our community and surrounding areas.
