All facility renters and third parties (i.e. vendors, caterers, performers, etc.) are required to carry liability insurance when using a Township owned or operated facility or community hall. Insurance requirements vary based on the type of rental and activities taking place. All renters must list the Township of Scugog as an additional insured with a minimum coverage of two million dollars on their insurance. Facility agreement holders (renters) have two options when providing liability insurance to the Township of Scugog:
Option 1: Renter's Insurance Policy
A liability insurance policy may be purchased from any insurance provider of the renter's choice. A certificate of insurance coverage must be completed by the insurance broker and submitted to the Township of Scugog for proof of coverage.
Option 2: Liability Insurance Program
