Drop-In Recreation Activities

The Township of Scugog offers a variety of drop-in activities such as skating, swimming, walking, and pickleball.

Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is played on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net, a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. In partnership with the North Durham Pickleball Club, these programs are designed for players to learn and play with others of a similar skill level. It is recommended you bring your own paddle as paddles are limited. The Public Works and Recreation department offer this drop-in program from September to May each year at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre as well as a registered Learn to Play program for participants new to the sport.

Pickleball Admission

The drop-in fee is $4.50 per person, per day. All programs are 18+ unless specified. Ticket passes are also available for purchase. Purchase a pass and you get one free play for every 9 purchased.

Pickleball Tournaments

The North Durham Pickleball Club (NDPC) runs two tournaments each year. Register by contacting northdurhampickleball@gmail.com. The regular pickleball schedule will be cancelled on these days.
