The Township of Scugog has many programs, services and projects thanks to volunteer efforts throughout the community. To provide support for these efforts, we offer grant opportunities for organizations.

Community Grant Fund

The Community Grant Fund supports not-for-profit groups that provide our community with great programs and services. Grants are provided to help organizations:

  • Run programs
  • Provide services
  • Complete special projects

** To align with Council's meeting schedule, applications will be due by 4:30 PM on the following dates:

  • March 15, 2022 (for events occurring between April-June)
  • June 15, 2022 (for events occurring between July-Sept.)
  • September 15, 2022 (for events occurring between Oct.-Dec.)
  • December 10, 2022 (for events occurring between Jan.-March for the year 2023) 

The 2022 Meeting Dates to review applications are as follows:
December 13, 2021 (Jan-March)
March 21, 2022 (April-June)
June 20, 2022 (July-Sept)
September 19, 2022 (Oct-Dec)

Scugog Youth Initiative Grant

Fore Scugog Youth Initiative Grants - Submission Intake Open

The Golf Donations Committee submission window for 2022 is now open and the committee is receiving requests from Scugog Youth Organizations to receive funding. We hosted the 2021 Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament and the event was a success in raising funds which will be awarded this year. Plans are to present to the successful recipients at a meeting in September 2022.

The Golf Donations Committee is now accepting submissions to the annual intake for distribution of funds raised at the 2021 Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament.

2022 Scugog Youth Initiative Ad

 Youth groups / organizations within the Township of Scugog are encouraged to apply for proceeds from the 2022 Annual Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the Township of Scugog. 

 The following criteria have been established for distribution of the funds:

  • Recognized Youth organizations in the Township of Scugog

 The objective of the Committee is to direct funds towards Scugog youth in one of the following areas:

  • enhance/improve youth infrastructure in Scugog
  • assistance to participate in a recognized youth organization and or events
  • assist with continued education. 

 Submissions are to be emailed to Lisa Fitton; or mailed to: The Township of Scugog, Golf Proceeds Committee - Confidential, 181 Perry St., PO Box 780, Port Perry, ON  L9L 1A7 and will be received until Friday, August 19, 2022 at 4:30 pm

 Please include in your submission:

  • Contact information (name, email, address and phone number) for the group;
  • Include details if the group has or will be applying for funds from additional sources, for the initiative outlined in their submission;
  • Outline the amount requested and how the funds will be used.

The Golf Donations Committee will use the criteria and objective to determine distribution of the funds. Please note only groups/organizations selected will be contacted. Recipients selected will be awarded funds at a Council meeting in September 2022.

 Annual Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament - 2022 Event 

The Township of Scugog is planning for the 2022 Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament for September 15, 2022 and will be hosted at the Sunnybrae Golf Club. Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament details.  

Our Annual Fore Scugog Charity Golf Tournament is held in September raising funds for youth initiatives in Scugog. Since 2003, approximately $190,000 has been distributed to various youth initiatives throughout Scugog. 

Funds raised at the tournament assist youth in Scugog through:

  • Bursary program at the Port Perry High School
  • Funding for recognized Scugog youth organizations
  • Improve Township youth oriented infrastructure in Scugog
